Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. In the 1950s, she started her acting career on stage in Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Then she appeared in a variety of Broadway productions before she became an international star together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. In the year 1957, she made her debut album entitled It's Time for Tina. Her first appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 film. The film was met with wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York in the same time and was Lee Strasberg's pupil. The year 1964 saw her win the role of her life when CBS hired her to play Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career in between Broadway television and Hollywood playing more serious characters as opposed to the image of glamorous. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series, as well as Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Recently, she's been a renowned director of TV shows that are popular, like Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 27th August, 1965 her family moved to Toronto when she was three. Her childhood was spent there, and later her teenage years. When she was chosen to play the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and is a resident of Vancouver ever from then on.
